Nuclear AstroCel I

Nuclear Grade AstroCel I filters have been qualified for use in critical applications such as the Department of Energy and nuclear power plants. Fire-retardant plywood, 409 or 304 stainless steel cell sides enclose a radiation resistant media held by extra heavy aluminum or vinyl coated separators. The filters are completed with galvanized or type 304 stainless steel mesh faceguards and neoprene dovetail or silicone gel gaskets.

The Nuclear Grade AstroCel I operates at a continuous maximum temperature of 250°F and a flow capacity of 25-1500 CFM at 1.3” w.g. Its HEPA media provides 99.97% efficiency on .3 micron particles.

All AAF Nuclear Grade HEPA filters are designed, manufactured, and tested under a Nuclear Quality Assurance Program meeting all requirements of ASME NQA-1, ASME N509-1989 and ASME AG-1. Nuclear AstroCel media is also qualified to MIL-F-51079 and listed on QPL 51079. These qualification tests subject the filters to a series of rigorous environmental conditions and a rated efficiency requirements.
