VariCel HT-900 filters are designed for systems operating up to 900°F. Constructed with aluminized steel, High Temperature VariCel filters offer rated efficiency with proven reliability over the life of the filter.
VariCel media is made with non-flammable microglass paper pleated and bonded to corrugated aluminum separators. These separators maintain uniform pleat spacing for optimum airflow. The media is organized in a dual density construction for high dust holding capacity. The header and cell sides are mechanically interlocked, not welded, to maintain the integrity of the assembly and to prevent internal thermal stresses and corrosion. HT VariCel filters contain no adhesives, sealants or glues which can break down in high heat. Expanded aluminized steel faceguards are installed on both sides of the filter to retain the media pack at elevated temperatures.
VariCel HT models may be used at less than rated temperatures to provide longer service life. Using prefilters, such as AAF's PerfectPleat pleated filters or “5700” panel filters, will also greatly extend the life of the filters.
High temperature, factory-installed gaskets are available.
