Rainbow Filters has developed a unique panel for their Activated Carbon Filters. This panel has been designed to facilitate the easy service of our carbon filters thus reducing service costs and ensuring that the correct amount of carbon is replaced with the minimum of fuss and non mess.
The panels are mad in two halves. This enables us to place the carbon in mesh bags, which are places in one half of the panel. The two sides are then placed together and held by four screws.
Using the mesh bags enables u to ensure that the correct amount of carbon is used in the original panel and subsequently in the replacement bags during service.
I other carbon filters the carbon is loose and is poured into the panel from one side. This narrow side opening is very difficult to pour the carbon granules into and the carbon scatters. Also there are no guarantees that the correct amount is placed into the panel.
Rainbow filters can supply a range of carbons to suit many applications that eliminate offensive odours that may be exhausted to atmosphere such as Sewerage Pumping Stations, Kitchen Exhaust to eliminate cooking smells, Mortuaries to eliminate formaldehyde smells. As well as applications that require containments to be removed before used in product manufacture.

The ‘Rainbow’ ACTAARB 1000 Filter Cell consists of twelve panels placed in a veeform formation inside an outer steel box. No further holding frames are required and the cells may be stacked together to build a filter bank of the size required. Standard finish is Expoxy Coated.
Each Panel is made up of two frames. Each side frame consists of an angle outer frame with a heavy gauge weldmesh panel spot welded to it. This weldmesh holds the carbon bag in place. The two side frames, one inner and one outer, are held together with four screws. This enables the panel to be easily pulled apart to replace the carbon bag when service is necessary.
The “RAINBOW” ACTACARB 1000 Filter Cell has a unique method of retaining the Carbon in each panel. The carbon in supplied in mesh bags that are designed to fit exactly into each panel. There is one bag per panel. These bags can be supplied with any grade of carbon which is required to suit the particular job.

To extend the life of your ACTACARB 1000 Filter we suggest the “RAINBOW” Mini Wedge or Maxi Wedge pre-filters be used. “RAINBOW” ACTACARB 1000 Filters are also available in STAINLESS STEEL.
