The 4” PerfectPleat HC offers the same consistent pleat spacing and rugged durability characteristic of the highly successful 2” models, adding even more strength through advancements to create one tough filter.
The 4" PerfectPleat HC model secures a DuraFlex media pack inside of a bonded die cut frame. DuraFlex is American Air Filter's patented, self-supporting media. When pleated, DuraFlex will hold its shape without the need for wire support characteristic of conventional, pleated filters. That means safer handling, rust resistance, and simplified disposal.
Straps are added to the air-entering side of the filter to help maintain pleat spacing, while specially designed spacers are inserted into the pleat valleys on the air-leaving side. The pleat spacers assist in keeping the pleats open during use, maximizing filter life. All frame components, straps, and pleat spacers are made with .028 beverage containerboard with the highest wet-strength available, providing excellent strength and durability.
PerfectPleat HC 4” filters are an excellent choice when upgrading to higher efficiencies where 2” pleated filters are used, particularly in front loading frames. The 4” PerfectPleats can also be used as final filters in single bank housings.
