The AAF Cyclone is a dry centrifugal collector for dusts of moderate to coarse particle size (>20µ). The Cyclone will remove up to 99% of dust (by weight) generated by steel grinding and saw dust. When used as a pre-cleaner, the Cyclone reduces the dust load on higher efficiency final collectors for longer service life.

Unlike many dust collectors, the AAF Cyclone contains no moving or replaceable parts and is essentially maintenance free. Air is drawn into the cyclone tangentially and rotates at high velocity, separating heavier dust from the air by centrifugal action. The basic Cyclone features an all welded heavy construction enclosing an internal helix, integral fan and motor assembly. Options include a 55-gallon steel drum, hopper with rack and pinion slide gate, discharge elbow, after-filter, and rotary airlock and receiver.

The AAF Cyclone can be used as the primary collector with or without the optional after filter, or as a pre-cleaner for any of AAF’s more efficient final collectors such as the ArrestAll, OptiFlo or Design M FabriPulse.

Available in the following models …

  • Model AAF-CY16-2 measures 36” x 36” x 108” with a 6”-diameter inlet. The unit operates at 800-1,000 CFM with a 2 HP motor-powered integral fan. Collected dust is deposited in a 55-gallon steel drum below.

  • Model AAF-CY20-3 measures 42” x 42” x 118” with a 8”-diameter inlet. The unit operates at 1,000-1,500 CFM with a 3 HP motor-powered integral fan. Collected dust is deposited in a 55-gallon steel drum below.

  • Model AAF-CY20-5 measures 42” x 42” x 120” with a 8”-diameter inlet. The unit operates at 1,500-2,200 CFM with a 5 HP motor-powered integral fan. Collected dust is deposited in a 55-gallon steel drum below.

  • Model AAF-CY24-7.5 measures 42” x 42/50” x 139/163” with a 10”-diameter inlet. The unit operates at 2,000-3,000 CFM with a 7.5 HP motor-powered integral fan. Collected dust is deposited in one or two 55-gallon steel drums below.

  • Model AAF-CY30-10 measures 42” x 42/50” x 154/178” with a 14”-diameter inlet. The unit operates at 3,000-4,000 CFM with a 10 HP motor-powered integral fan. Collected dust is deposited in one or two 55-gallon steel drums below.

  • Model AAF-CY30-15 operates at 3,500-4,400 CFM with a 15 HP motor-powered integral fan. Three dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; or one or two 55-gallon steel drums.

  • Model AAF-CY36-20 operates at 5,000-7,000 CFM with a 20 HP motor-powered integral fan. Four dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; hopper with rack and pinion slide gate; or one or two 55-gallon steel drums.

  • Model AAF-CY36-25 operates at 5,500-7,500 CFM with a 25 HP motor-powered integral fan. Four dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; hopper with rack and pinion slide gate; or one or two 55-gallon steel drums.

  • Model AAF-CY36-30 operates at 6,000-8,000 CFM with a 30 HP motor-powered integral fan. Four dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; hopper with rack and pinion slide gate; or one or two 55-gallon steel drums.

  • Model AAF-CY44-50 operates at 9,000-11,500 CFM with a 50 HP motor-powered integral fan. Two dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; or hopper with a rack and pinion slide gate.

  • Model AAF-CY44-60 operates at 9,000-12,000 CFM with a 60 HP motor-powered integral fan. Two dust storage options are available for this model: a rotary airlock and receiver; or hopper with a rack and pinion slide gate.
